Welcome to the website of London based drummer and music educator Michael Benöhr. Michael's work as a drummer and clinician has taken him to many places around the world including Germany, USA, China, UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Chile.
Throughout his musical career Michael has performed at international festivals, concert venues, radio and TV stations such as Lovebox Festival, The O2 in Greenwich, Kerrang! Radio and MTV. His great musicality, tasteful drumming style, huge energy, vast creativity and positive attitude have made him the drummer of choice for many UK artists.
Apart from being an active live/studio drummer and clinician, Michael is the founder and director of East London Drum School and London School of Music.
20th to 28th Sep - Masterclasses for Music Miles in China
I just came back from touring China, where I played and taught four drum masterclasses for Music Miles in the cities of Bengbu, Yantai, Shandong and Xuzhou. Chinese people love drumming and there is a whole lot of kids and adults learning to play the instrument.
I am pleased to share a bit of my experience in China and the masterclasses I taught on the following video. Enjoy!
