20th to 28th Sep - Masterclasses for Music Miles in China

I just came back from touring China, where I played and taught four drum masterclasses for Music Miles in the cities of Bengbu, Yantai, Shandong and Xuzhou. Chinese people love drumming and there is a whole lot of kids and adults learning to play the instrument.

I am pleased to share a bit of my experience in China and the masterclasses I taught on the following video. Enjoy!

"The teaching methods that Michael uses are fantastic! I always enjoy my days teaching at East London Drum School with those amazing students."

- Derrick McKenzie,

Drummer of Jamiroquai

"Michael Benöhr is a very soulful, hard hitting, funky, rock and roll drummer with great feel and great time. I am sure that any artist or producer looking for a great drummer will be delighted with Michael's drumming. His videos demonstrate perfectly what I am saying. I was blown away by his playing."

- Andy Newmark, Drummer of Sly & The Family Stone, David Bowie, John Lennon, Roxy Music and Pink Floyd among others

"Michael and East London Drum School are really great and the teaching is spot on! My son loved going to his lessons. He had loads of fun improving his skills by learning rock classics as well as contemporary hits - the perfect combination for making/learning music, cool!"

- Brian Molko,

Frontman of Placebo
